![]() ![]() Unit gets busted by my Barbarian that has full experience and a magical sword. A funny situation is when a enemy Lionmen Offer as much experience to my forces and keeping losses at minimal. I focus on getting a lot of gold for research (max gold for research alocated) and less for buying units. Hers original (even experienced) magic units have problems with beasts in the jungle. Mordra has decent forces but like all magic leaders has problems in the middle of the game because of the fact that Krell has the best forces at the final battle but in the begining and middle of the game his forces will be in a bit Marcas has the best forces at the begining of the game but his forces will not be the best at the final battle. Heavy Cavalery is made by Phoenix Knights The 4 of the non mech Heavy Infantry are Monks of Meo Six Pheonix SkyHunters instead of 4 Seekers ThereĪs for non standard units I use: 1 General + Dreggo + Sir Kalador + Xyphon + Valiraĭepending on the used Hero I have a few changes to the general list: I use a the folowing general army that is kept until the finish:Ģ-Captans for support until the Heavy Infantery is powerful enough to fight on their own. Used en masse you could have some fun with "carpet bombing" techniques, but the defending your large bomber force without having to buy an even larger interceptor force would be problematic (in the same sense that trying to bail out a sinking aircraft carrier with a bucket is problematic). ![]() perhaps a better question would be if anyone has ever gotten use out of bombardiers except as a token gesture to appease the computer's "balanced army" requirement. I think it's reasonably safe to write off Spellcasters, but has anyone ever had much success with mass Archer or Bombardier armies? Not really sure if either could be made to work-I love archers for support fire effects, but even clusters of archers with multiplied support fire get demolished. Skirmisher or Skirmisher/LI I think might be doable (and would probably be highly successful early on, until your upgrades run out of steam). But what about beyond that? I've had some surprisingly great Siege Engine-oriented campaigns before (technically it was more of a "combined arms" approach, but when you have twice as many siege engines as you have units screening them I think it's safe to say that your army favors artillery a little). Heavy Infantry and Heavy Cav seem to be the popular choices I've heard of people relying on Sky Hunters and had a few half-finished campaigns of that sort which went pretty well. just the units that you use to do the bulk of the work. I dust off FG for a spin through campaign mode now an dthen, and I got to thinking: how many different unit types can you viably use as the "core" of your army? I don't mean making 75% of your army fliers or whatnot. ![]()
